The most famous figures are probably the smokers, nutcrackers, angels and miners as well as the nativity figures and Christmas pyramids.

The nutcrackers are a typical figure of Erzgebirge wood art. They are usually designed as soldiers or kings and are used to crack nuts. But they are also very popular as decoration and should not be missing in any Christmas room. In tradition they are often seen as guardians of the family.”
